THIS YEARS RULES AT QISS
With the start of new semester, we’ve got some new school rules. Most of them are regulations for our clothes – no short shorts or skirt, no clothes that promote drugs or tobacco and etc.
These regulations are made so that the school can have an appropriate atmosphere for us to learn, and we can concentrate on learning. However, some students are opposing these regulations for the reason that it is violating our freedom to express ourselves. I believe these regulations are necessary not only for QISS, but schools all around the world. I agree that school should be the place where we can express our feelings freely and develop our personalities.
The main goal of school is to lead us the right way so that we can later fit into the society. This means they have a duty to ban things that might be a bad influence, and regulating clothes is one part. Our school is doing what it should do, so I believe there is no reason for us to condemn it for not letting us wear what we want to wear.
