QISS students had 48 film festivals in Friday, January 25. They could choose their members and their own topics of the videos/films who they want, had 2 weeks to make their videos. There were 7 teams, and they did really great jobs on their videos.
First place grade 12 - Gi, Coddy , Danny , Steve and Min-woo. | Second place grade 11- Leo , Kian, Jun Chung, Brian and Peter. | Third place grade 10 - Bryan, Remi, Jogen, Winston, Isaac and Paul. |

I conducted interviews with most of the teams as I wanted to know more specifically about the challenges they came across in creating their videos. I made questions for each teams. Here are the questions and the answers they gave.

1. What did make you participate in film festival?
Grade 12 (Cody): “Last year Cody’s and my group lost to Isaac’s group, so we wanted to revenge and beat Isaac and come first.”
-Grade 11 (Leo): “I, Leo Hong, participated in the film festival last year. I liked it. So I gathered people and took part in it. That’s all.”
-Grade 10 (Bryan): “Because this is my last year in QISS, I wanted to challenge myself (Paul Ham)”

-Grade 7 Boys (Jerry): “Jerry Wang said it’s fun”
2. Why did you choose your topic of your work?
-Grade12: “Cody used to be a boxer and also we had been really into the movie ‘Warrior’ during this period”
-Grade 11: “No specific reason… It just came to my mind”
-Grade 10:” I didn’t choose it. (Paul)”

3. What scene do you think the best shot of your work?
-Grade12:”Min-woo getting kicked off the swing by Gi.“

-Grade 10:”The chasing scene of Winston & Jorgen”
-Grade 9, Kevin: “Aaron… No, it’s the previous clip from the movie I made last year.”

4. What professional editing or acting skills did you use in your film/movie?
-Grade12:”We had lots of music and effects in the fighting scenes.”
-Grade 11: “Fast & Slow motion, Long-shot, close-shot, fade out and etc. Acting was mostly done by ad-lib”

5. What was the most difficult thing during making your video?
-Grade12:”The fighting”
-Grade 11: “For me, of course it was editing. I spent three days, sleeping 3 hours total, for that.”
-Grade 10:”Choosing the topic”
-Grade 9, Kevin:”My I-Pad falls off the stand while I try to film myself. Also Mr. Plant annoys me.”

A: One time, Cody and I forgot about the choreography and Cody accidentally punched me in the face.

A: The exact pronunciation of it is Chun-nee-byon, to begin with. It is a term made in Japan. 中二病 most likely to occur to teenage boys & girls who are undergoing a lot of mental and physical changes. During this period, they develop their own point of view and sometimes fall into a pitfall that makes them think themselves as specialists who are superior to other human beings. This is what we call Chunibyon and it can lead to various irregular actions such as acting like characters in anime or drama (When I was in Chunibyon, I tried not to smile to look serious)
