The QISS Student Council (SGA) is back to business as usual for the 2013-14 school year. People might equate Student Council members to snack bar sellers; however, they are misunderstood. The QISS Student Council has been working with the school staff to help arrange almost all school activities held at QISS (Halloween, lock-in, talent show, China Day…) Together they have achieved a great number of accomplishments, such as the establishment of the Snack Bar of which the profits fund various student activities. People have different thoughts about the Student Council. Here are a few anonymous interviews expressing their opinions of what they think this student-led organization is.

“I think this is a student-led government that is simulating the structure a real government has. I enjoyed the activities they arranged where they are doing great jobs on them, and I appreciate their contributions. It helps the school to get better.“
“Good organization, very helpful, and I like it.”
“They seem to be mysterious in the special meeting room, but they are actually helping the school to improve more. All things they gave us were perfect.”
Comments from Student Council members:
“The student council has got a complete renewal this year. We have new members and a brand new system to work with.“
“This student-led organization’s main goal is to help the school to held activities and different festivals here. We are trying our best to help all students to ‘develop a mindful heart’ as the school wants them to do.”

Brief introduction: This student-led organization composed of 15 members (including 4 executive members), is here to help students to improve themselves and arrange different activities to give students the best school lives.
Previous accomplishments: Student Council has taken place in almost all activities at QISS like Lock-in and Halloween; also, the Student Council is running the student store (Snack Bar) at second floor.
